COACHES CORNER / LUKE FREEMAN
What’s the biggest focus for your group in 2026?
We've brought in some new concepts and systems that some of the boys, not all the boys, have been exposed to, and we're just trying to implement them. The big thing will just be embedding them in our game.
What will supporters notice about this team?
We've been working a fair bit on just team defence as opposed to individual defence. I think we'll probably move the footy a little bit differently to what they've done in previous years.
What’s your side’s greatest strength?
Their willingness to take new stuff on board and to be able to give things a go.
What still needs the most work?
The ability to be able to adapt these new structures and systems under pressure.
What does success look like for this group in 2026?
Keep showing improvement as a team but also in the wins column. There was obviously some blowout games last year which we want to try to improve on.
