The Wednesday twilight autumn competition is a social event, and open for anyone interested in having a hit of tennis.
It is a great opportunity to enjoy the spectacular autumn weather at the high-class lawn and hard courts in Charlotte St, Deniliquin with great value refreshments also available at the tennis club bar.
The competition will be an entirely graded doubles competition, with men’s, women’s and mixed doubles.
Players of all skill levels are welcome.
Teams will be picked, with all players graded after the nominations close today.
The competition takes place Wednesday evenings from 6pm starting February 4, and continue through until April 1. Play usually wraps up by 8.30pm.
Each week, each player will play three one set matches. You will be partnered with someone from your team.
The last social tennis competition held at the Deni Lawn Tennis Competition in spring saw four teams compete for social tennis bragging rights - Deniliquin Newsagency, Legal Eagles, Mitre 10 and Peppin Planners.
In the final round, it was a nail-biter between Peppin Planners and Deniliquin Newsagency.
Newsagency were able to win the competition by the barest of margins, by one set - a great achievement for the 23 players in the Newsagency team, who are now laying out a challenge to the other teams ahead of the autumn competition.
If you wish to play in the spring competition, names and contact details should be registered with organisers by the end of today.
