Round 11 of the Weekend Pennant will see competition heavyweights looking to remain at the top of the tree with five rounds left until finals.
League leaders Moama (8-2) will travel to Stanhope to take on a fellow finals team in what could be a post-season preview.
Rich River is currently in sixth and on the outside looking in on the finals places, with a potential win over Mathoura at Rich River Bowls Club in round 11 going a long way to pushing it into the top four.
Meanwhile, Echuca (6-2) will be looking to chase down Moama for top spot the rest of the way but will first have another week of rest with the bye.
All Weekend Pennant matches will begin at 1.30pm.
The Campaspe Playing Area’s Midweek Pennant will return on Tuesday, January 20, with both Moama and Echuca leading the way with four rounds to go in the regular season.
Round 13 of the McMahon Shield will most likely see the rich get richer, with the race for finals positions tightening.
Moama has all but guaranteed it will finish as the A-grade minor premier, having not lost a game so far this season, and will be heavily favoured to beat Tongala at Moama Recreation Reserve on Saturday.
Echuca South should continue to be the chief threat to Moama on the ladder barring a monumental upset, as the Swans will travel to Cohuna Recreation Reserve to take on winless Nondies-Cohuna.
Kyabram Fire Brigade will look to get back on the horse after losing in round 12, hosting struggling Leitchville-Gunbower at Northern Oval.
The most interesting match of the round will be between rivals Rochester and Bamawm-Lockington United at Windridge Oval, with both sides fighting to solidify their positions inside the top four.
Coming off a win against BLU, Echuca has the bye in round 12 and will return to face cross-town rival Echuca South in round 13.
All McMahon Shield matches have an 11am start.
Sunday will see a busy round of Goulburn Murray Cricket’s Women’s competition, with four rounds remaining before finals.
Top dog Moama will host Cooma at Moama Recreation Reserve, as the Mowers look to shore up their position.
After a road trip to Katamatite in round 10, Echuca will host Nathalia at Tongala Recreation Reserve, with a win potentially propelling it into the top three.
Rochester will be on the move on Sunday, venturing to Katamatite to play the Tigers. If Rochy wins and Moama loses, there could be movement at the top of the standings.
Bamawm-Lockington United has the bye on Sunday and will return in round 12 to play Echuca.
After returning from the holiday break last weekend, the Campaspe Tennis Association’s senior competition is back for round 11.
In division one, table-topper Echuca 2 will travel to Lockington Tennis Club to face LBU while Echuca 2 will head to Rochester Lawn Tennis Club to face Rochy.
The Tiger Bloods have a bye this Saturday in division two, with the rest of the matches being played at Echuca Lawn Tennis Club, as Echuca 3 will play Colbinabbin and Echuca 4 will battle clubmate Echuca 5.

The junior duathlon will be held Saturday morning and the Sprint Triathalon will take place in the afternoon, while the popular Wharf to Winery swim will be held on Sunday morning.
