The seniors came up against Tarrawingee at home, knowing the Bulldogs took the game up to the boys when they played earlier this season, but this time around Goorambat managed to keep them goalless for the first three quarters.
Victor Butler continued his good form, setting up his team mates down field along with the ever reliable Ben Reaburn and Sam Gladstone down back not allowing Tarrawingee any opportunities around goal. Despite a couple of key forwards missing, the boys inside 50 were able to put a winning score on the board.

Goorambat 36 drew Tarrawingee 36
A grade faced another challenging opponent this week taking on Tarrawingee, currently ranked third. The match saw us fluctuating throughout, starting with a two-goal lead at half time but trailing by one goal at three-quarter time.
Kylie Relf showcased her composure in attack, providing the stability we missed last week, while Nelle Cousins delivered a standout performance, generating numerous turnovers and applying pressure in our defence.
Our youngest player, Ruby Richardson, made a significant impact by consistently finding the ball and delivering excellent feeds to our goalers. However, Tarrawingee maintained the pressure right until the final siren, resulting in a hard-fought draw.
Congratulations to Chelsea Bamford on her 150 game milestone on the day.
Best on: Kylie Relf (Riverbank Cash Award), Nelle Cousins (Royal Hotel Award), Ruby Richardson (Early Bird coffee Award)

Goorambat 34 def Tarrawingee 30
The Bats took on Tarrawingee with determination after losing to them by 13 earlier in the season.
With a huge effort by every player the girls were hungry to get a win. It was a tight contest all game with strong defensive pressure all over the court.
Nikki Wallace and Georgia Thomson played strong in the defensive circle with great talk and pressure over the ball. Madison Dunne and Tayla Dempster rotated at WD to put strong pressure on Tarrawingee’s WA while Grace Handley and Tiffany Kirkpatrick ran hard in the centre, working well with Carli Brennan to feed well to the shooters giving every opportunity to get the win.
Aneiki Pierce, Sophie Hammond and Poppy Broomhall moved and shot well against tall defenders. The game was played in great competitive spirit and could have gone either team’s way, but the Bats fought to the final whistle to come away with the win.
Best on: Georgia Thomson (G&S Gall Award), Nikki Wallace (Royal Hotel Award), Carli Brennan (Hume Solar Drink Award)

The Bats started strong going goal for goal, before Tarra broke away towards the end of the first quarter to lead by three heading into the second.
With strong movement in the attacking end from Charli Button and Katelyn Russell, the girls were able to remain competitive each quarter. Strong defence from Lacey Carter forced the Tarra attacking end to work for each goal.
As the game continued the Tarra girls were able to extend their lead at each break by three or four goals, finishing the game with a 15-goal win.

The Bats started the game well this week, and with a few away or injured, the girls adjusted well to a little shuffle around of positions.
Chloe Culhane was moved from defence in to shooter and played a great game, moving well and shooting well. The team welcomed Ava Hayes for the weekend and she brought some communication and aggression for the ball to the team. Eliza Keen had a strong game, showcasing her will to learn and try new things on the court with some guidance.
