A second local derby in the women’s competition highlighted Echuca-Moama’s round in the Goulburn Valley Hockey Association.

Echuca Green maintained its strong form for the season, again defeating White by a useful margin, 7-0.
Courtney Thompson continued a devastating year in front of goal with a team-best three scores, while Agostina Traglia (2), Irina Cavigliasso and Lauren Forsythe also found the scoresheet.
Green holds a five-point lead at the top of the ladder, while White is in fourth.
Men’s
The men’s A-grade side took part in round three of the Regional Hockey League, but were well beaten by Strathdale at the Bendigo Hockey Centre.
Only Scott Thompson could find the back of the net for the River Rats, while Strathdale piled on 15 scores in response.
Echuca Moama returned to second on the B-grade ladder with a cagey 1-0 win over Strikers.
David Keillor managed the only goal of the match to hand the River Rats the win.
The side holds a tenuous two-point lead over Strikers on the league table.
