Shepparton United celebrated coach Kara Blizzard’s 300-game milestone in perfect fashion, dismantling Benalla 67 to 40 at Deakin Reserve to mark a perfect bounce back performance after a shock loss to Euroa last week.

Speaking after the game, Blizzard said she was left feeling so grateful for everyone that had been a part of her almost 20-year netball journey.

“I feel very overwhelmed and very appreciative of so many things,” she said.

“Three-hundred games all and well, but just the support behind that has been incredible, people from other clubs, people from the past that I’ve played with, my family, everyone has been so amazing.

“Benalla, hats off to them, they were amazing, they really pushed us and made us work.

“They’re an amazing club, we know they’re doing it tough as well so it’s really nice that they can bring a performance like that.”

News photographer Rechelle Zammit was on hand on Saturday and captured all the action.
