President’s Award
The president’s award goes to someone who has made a significant impact to the club in a variety of different settings.
They are a person who always puts in their best efforts around the club in everything they do.
This year’s award went to Amy Coshan, a person who put in a lot of time and effort around the club as a player, coach, umpire and Hookin2hockey Coordinator.
Amy has a wealth of experience working with and around hockey clubs, so her knowledge and experience were valued and appreciated by the committee and the club.
Senior Club Person
This award goes to someone who goes the extra mile in terms of the senior part of the club.
People who qualify for this award are club members who volunteer their time and effort for a variety of different roles, not just as a playing member.
This year’s award went to Ryan More, a long-term member and extremely valued person within the club.
This year, Ryan has played both A and B men, is one of our regular umpires for senior matches and is always the first person to put his hand up to help out in the canteen or at other club events.
Junior Club Person
The Junior Club Person of the year can go to a junior or an adult who is involved with the junior section of the club.
They are a club member who either plays, coaches, umpires, manages or volunteers their time to junior hockey to ensure that all junior members are included and feel supported.
This year’s recipient was Claire Goodman.
Claire has been involved with the juniors for a couple of years now and was a manager of one of the club’s under-12s teams.
Claire was regularly at junior training, sometimes coaching the kids if required and ensured they were all trying their very best each and every game.
She is an invaluable club member and does it all without a fuss.
Most Promising Junior
The most promising junior award goes to a junior player who is excelling in their age group through displaying a high level of skill and leadership.
This year’s recipient was Jack Bateson, a member of our under-15s team.
Jack won his team’s best and fairest award this year and played several senior games in B-grade where he showed skill and game awareness beyond his years.
It will be very exciting to see where he goes with his hockey in the future.
Gulson Family Award
The Gulson Family award has been donated by Mick, Coral, Kari and Jayden Gulson, who have all been long time members of Echuca Moama Hockey Club.
This award is given to someone who has displayed passion and commitment to the club and to the sport.
This year's recipient was Rebecca Webb.
Taking on the secretary role for this club this year, she has gone above and beyond to ensure that all elements of the club ran seamlessly.
This year, Bec has put in countless hours behind the scenes off the field, organising club events, junior and senior registrations, communications and social media.
Bec is certainly a worthy winner of this award.
