Hore returns to bolster Bombers ranks

Leitchville-Gunbower has strengthened its hand with two new additions to its ranks.

The Heathcote District Football League club finished in the top five this season and has been quick to shore up its list ahead of next year.

And it has gone to an old friend to kick-start the process.

Two-time Bombers premiership player Brady Hore returns after four years away in a significant boost to the half-back/midfield brigade.

The 2017-18 flag winner switched to Birchip Watchem Football Club for the protracted 2021 season before spending the past two seasons with Bendigo Football League club Strathfieldsaye.

A former Bendigo Pioneer and HDFL interleague representative, it’s another solid signing for the Bombers, who have already recommitted the majority of its senior list.

L-G has also added the services of defender Brad Green from division one Western Region Football League club Yarraville-Seddon.

The Bombers will target another finals berth after successfully qualifying for the 2023 campaign, bowing out to eventual premier Mount Pleasant in the elimination final.

L-G has also made early moves on the netball front, appointing Strathfieldsaye’s Caity Hamilton as coach of the A-grade side.
