On Tuesday, midweek pennant lost their match against Cobram at Finley after a tough tussle with the scores level with one end of each rink yet to play.
Unfortunately, each rink lost shots and finished down 54-63 overall.
Well done to all the players involved; all we can do is look forward to next season.
There will be winter training organised, so make sure you make an effort to attend at some point.
Dates and times will be advised when they are known.
Division two in the Saturday Pennant played Finley at Cobram last Saturday and, despite their best efforts, went down 40-64 overall.
All players tried their best, but unfortunately, it was not their day.
So next week, on Tuesday, in the midweek grand finals at Finley, we have Cobram playing Numurkah Golf in Division 1 and Katandra West playing Numurkah in Division 2.
Saturday pennant grand finals, we see Numurkah Golf and Katandra West in Division 1, Strathmerton and Finley in Division 2, Numurkah Golf and Nathalia in Division 3, Katandra West and Numurkah in Division 4, and Numurkah play Picola in Division 5 with all games at Berrigan.
On Sunday, our ladies’ fours, consisting of Ruth Burnett, Karen Bruce (substituting for Cheryl Merrit), Liz Ewing and Fran Thatcher, played in the state finals at Strathmerton against the Goulburn Valley girls.
Sadly, they lost this match, but well done to winning the Murray Playing Area fours.
Next Sunday, we will have Geoff Mitchell and Ian Smethurst playing in the final of the state pairs at Strathmerton, and we wish them all the best.
There was no Keith’s Friday played this week, but it will again be this coming Friday at 1.30pm.
The jackpot of $240 (approximately) is still available, so please put your name down by 12.30pm.
