Katamatite has devoured Tocumwal in the latest round of Murray Valley Cricket Association.

In round 14 Katamatite played on its home turf, where it came away with a victory against the NSW team, scoring 7-261 to Tocumwal’s 9-87.

The final score came after a gruelling two-day match played over consecutive weekends.

The first day saw Katamatite lead against Tocumwal, and the second day was no different.

Highlights of the first day saw Katamatite’s Sam Gordon make an impressive 70 runs before falling to Tocumwal bowler Reilly Rennick, making him the best Katamatite batter so far.

Tyler Green made a respectable 47 runs for Katamatite before falling to Peter Harrison and Tom Oliver, acting as fielder and bowler, respectively.

Brayden Beaton also made 47 runs for Katamatite and left the field not out.

For the second day, Tocumwal’s Andrew Lean proved his best side's batter, making 34 runs before being run out by Katamatite’s Benjamin Beaton and Tom Irvine.
