A Cats quintet has been named in the Heathcote District Football League’s 2022 Team of the Year.
Bacon brothers Nathan and Jarod alongside Jeremy Mundie, Marcus Angove, and two-time Sam Cheatley medallist Tyler Phillips have all been picked for the squad.
Mundie fills a position in the backline, while Phillips and Nathan Bacon combine in the midfield. LBU co-skipper Jarod Bacon has been named at half-forward, while Angove earned a place on the bench.
Despite a long season, Leitchville-Gunbower is represented in the side by the classy Billy Hawken after a productive year.
Elmore’s Darcy Laffy sits at full-forward after snaring 53 goals for the season.
LBU leads the way with five representatives, while grand final opponent Mount Pleasant boasts four players and Team of the Year coach Darren Walsh.
