There are no foregone conclusions when it comes to finals.
Misfits who breezed to a 9-2 win over P*ssheads last week didn’t find it so easy in the 2nd semifinal.
Yes, they still won, but it came down to a team’s game decider, eventually taking the win 6-5 to put them into the grand final.
In the 1st semi, Hasbeens, who have been struggling of late, fell unceremoniously to 26 Jets in a pretty one-sided 6-2 loss.
Hasbeens have now been eliminated, 26 Jets will now play P*ssheads in the preliminary final.
Division 2
In a very exciting 2nd semi, The Recyclables came home strong to beat Ocheholics in a see-sawing 6-4 win.
Ocheholics were actually 4-3 up, but The Recyclables won three singles matches in a row to take the win and progress to the grand final.
The 1st semi was all the Pastoral Warriors way.
Pastoral Pirates, who had been playing pretty well up until the finals, seemed to just lay down, giving Warriors a very convincing 6-1 victory.
Pirates find themselves out of contention while the preliminary final will be contested between Ocheholics and Warriors.
