Moama’s young footballers have received an influx of new equipment courtesy of National Australia Bank.

NAB, a major sponsor of the Auskick program, ran a competition for its customers in May, with more than 2000 footballs on offer for successful clubs.
The balls were set to be distributed in blocks of 20, but Moama had two successful applications at the Echuca NAB branch and was awarded 40 new footballs.
“It was fantastic to win this prize,” Moama Auskick co-ordinator Matthew Veitch said.
“We were entered via other people who were NAB customers and we found out via NAB that we won two prizes instead of one because we had two nominations, which was fantastic.”
While the Moama Auskick program has concluded for 2025, 40 footies are a welcome injection of supplies for next year’s program.

The program ran from March to June.
“It’s definitely a big boost for our centre,” Veitch said.
“We have 154 kids in our Auskick centre, so I think we’re one of the bigger ones in the region.
“It was just nice to have a bit of recognition for it, as well as nice to win something for our centre.”
Veitch thanked NAB for helping support the club with the donation.
Moama Auskick will be running transition sessions for its under-8s at Brick Alley, Moama, on August 3 and 10, to help get them ready for under-10 club footy.
