Mooroopna weathered a winless storm stretching back to early May in the Women’s Vic League Two, but the Cats were all steel and thunder to snap the streak at the weekend.
Returning to the pitch in round 12 after a bye, Mooroopna welcomed Craigieburn Falcons to Shepparton Regional Hockey Complex with designs to etch its first win since round five.

Mooroopna skirted away with a 4-2 triumph as Haylee Greenman, Chloe Kell, Kim Starkey and Abigail Vaivars struck truly against the Falcons.
The win sees Mooroopna re-enter the top four heading into another break before a date with second-placed Werribee on July 19.
Meanwhile, a Shepparton starlet is busy representing the state at the Women’s Under-18 National Championships.
Strikers product Emme Cole was picked for the Victorian side contesting the nationals in Perth from July 4-12.
