Although a contest was certainly afoot, Moama showed its quality to take home the 15-and-under premiership over Cobram on Murray League grand final day.

A back-and-forth first half promised an intriguing second half hour, but the Mowers simply proved too much for the Tigers after the break.
From 15-all, Moama burst out to 18-15 and 21-16 leads.
Cobram managed to prevent things getting out of hand in the remainder of the third period, but still trailed by four at the final change.
Moama all but killed the game off with a clinical four-goal run coming out of the break, and Cobram found itself helpless to respond as the Mowers soared home 31-26.
Coach Carri Carter was thrilled to see her side claim another premiership.
“I feel like we’ve had a great season, and they’ve just topped it off today,” she said
Cobram’s effort in the first half was gallant, but the defending champion demonstrated its quality after the break.
“That’s what finals is all about,” Carter said.
“They probably haven’t felt that pressure as much, so the privilege of pressure sometimes is awesome, and they stepped up when they needed to.”
