Aside from the blockbuster wins in the top grades, plenty of lower-grade Moama, Tongala, and Echuca United sides faced elimination finals at the weekend.

All winning sides in each grade will play each other at Numurkah Recreation Reserve on Sunday.
Squads in the top two had a bye at the weekend and will contest grand final qualifiers at Echuca South Recreation Reserve on Saturday.

Echuca United and Tongala will join the B-grade flag race this week after finishing in the top-two.

Tongala crashed out of the reserves after a heavy defeat to title contender Cobram.
The Tigers piled on points early and continued to build a lead throughout the game, running away with the contest 9.7 (61) to 1.5 (11).
The Blues’ season also ended in under-17s, this time at the hands of Deniliquin.
Tonny had a narrow lead after the first quarter, but Deni found its form and kicked away for a 6.10 (46) to 4.5 (29) win.
In the under-14s, Moama survived a meeting with Mulwala, advancing 3.9 (27) to 2.5 (17).
Harry Coates slotted two of the Magpies’ goals in the win which has his side advance to take on Nathalia.
Moama’s reserves and under-17s will join the finals series this weekend after top-two finishes.
Netball
Moama dispatched Numurkah 57-32 in B-grade, staying alive for another week.
Next up will be Mulwala, which ended Congupna’s campaign.
In C-grade, there was nothing between Echuca United and Moama as the Eagles narrowly escaped with the win 42-41.
Mulwala, got by Cobram in the other semi, setting up a showdown with United this weekend.
The Eagles were the victim of an upset in C-reserve, sixth placed Cobram getting the best of third-ranked United 36-34.
In 17-and-under, Tongala surged to down the higher finishing Cobram 41-31.
The Blues will take on Deniliquin, which got the best of Finley in the other eliminator.
It was Tongala that survived a tense encounter in 15-and-under, eliminating Echuca United 26-23.
The Blues face up to Rumbalara this weekend after Rumba scored a confident win over Nathalia.
Echuca United and Tongala picked up wins in 13-and-under.
The Eagles easily handled Barooga 35-9, while the Blues got by Cobram 27-18.
The two sides will now face off in another do-or-die contest.
A host of local sides will join the finals race this weekend after finishing in the top two.
Tongala’s B, C, and C-reserve sides, Moama’s 17-and-under, 15-and-under, and 13-and-under squads and Echuca United’s B and 17-and-under outfits will seek a grand final place this weekend.
