After securing victory two weeks ago and coming off the bye, Picola United faced off against Waaia at home.
The Bombers were quick to build a lead, up seven by the first break, and they continued to extend their lead in the second period.
Waaia was 17 goals in front at half-time and, while Picola was able to slow the flow of opposition goals over the second half hour, Waaia crept even further in front in the remaining periods to eventually win by 23 goals, 54-31.
The Blues sit in 10th place on the ladder, having accumulated three wins and five losses.
They head to Dookie (7-2) this weekend to take on the impressive league newcomer.
At Katandra Recreation Reserve, winless Mathoura found little joy against a top-tier Kats side.
The lead was double digits by the end of the first period and the scoreline quickly got out of hand as Katandra piled on goals through the second.
Twenty-six goals behind at the main break, Mathoura’s fortunes didn’t improve in the second half, and Katandra strolled away a 75-22 winner.
The Cutters continue to avoid the wooden-spoon position thanks to Blighty which has an inferior score difference.
An opportunity for Mathoura to break its duck arises this weekend as the Cutters host table neighbour Strathmerton, which is winless since the opening day.
