Picola notched up its fifth A-grade netball win of the year to move back into the top four of the Picola and District Netball League.

The Blues made it back-to-back wins courtesy of a 58-28 victory over Tocumwal at the weekend, stringing together a complete performance against the Bloods.

It comes after the Blues muscled their way over the top of Katunga the week before, with Picola now holding a 5-2 record after seven rounds.

They sit just one game behind Strathmerton in second, a side Picola faces next week

In other PDNL contests, Mathoura came crashing back to earth against Katamatite.

After its two-goal thriller against Deni Rovers in round seven, the Timbercutters were brought crashing back to earth with the Tigers mauling Mathoura to the tune of 50 goals.

The 20-70 defeat was Mathoura’s heaviest of the year, and the high-flying Tigers were merciless on their home courts.

The Timbercutters hold a 2-4 record, currently sitting in 10th.

Around the courts, Katunga stole a two-goal win over Tungamah, while the first-placed Waaia flexed its muscle with a 23-goal win over Deni Rovers.

Strathmerton picked up a big win over Jerilderie while Rennie posted a nine-goal win over Blighty.
