The River Rats men scored their first win of the Regional Hockey League season, getting the best of fellow winless outfit Eaglehawk 3-2 on Sunday.
Cameron Kenley, William Kerr and Adrian Rose were each on target for Echuca-Moama in the nail-biting win.
Back in the GVHA, the River Rats B-grade men further solidified second place with a 2-0 win over Strikers on Saturday.
William Kerr pulled double duty over the weekend, also finding the target in this game, while Thomas Morphett was the River Rats’ other goalscorer.
Round 12 was another good one for E-M Green in the women’s league, the side picking up a 4-2 win over Euroa.
Jess Crisp scored twice, while Meaghan Whan and Agostina Traglia also got their names on the scoresheet.
The E-M White side broke the streak for the club’s senior sides, downed 3-0 by Shepparton Youth Club.
Tayah Irwin, Ineke Walsh and Hunnardeep Sandhu all struck for SYC in the win.
It will be a lighter schedule of action for the River Rats this weekend, as both the A-grade men and women’s White sides have the bye.
Green will take on SYC in Shepparton on Saturday, while later in the day, the B-grade men’s side faces off with Mooroopna.
