A double header was held at Echuca College on Sunday, with the club’s two women’s sides first doing battle, before the A-grade men’s team took on Bendigo Senjuns in the Regional Hockey League.

Although Green has been the dominant force in the women’s division while White has been a little off the pace during the season, the two sides played out a thrilling 2-2 draw in the final round.
Jess Crisp and Sally Thompson were on target for Green, while Chloe Kell and Amy Coshan scored for White as the sides couldn’t be separated at the final whistle.

It sets up a thrilling semi-final encounter, with the two sides set to battle again on Saturday, this time in Shepparton, with a grand final place on the line.
After losing their first three fixtures, the River Rats’ A-grade men finished the Regional Hockey League strongly, stringing together a third game unbeaten in the last round against Bendigo Senjuns.

Back in the GVHA, the River Rats will be taking on Shepparton Youth Club in a semi-final this Saturday.

All semi-finals will be held at Shepparton Regional Hockey Complex on Saturday.
Echuca-Moama’s first action will be in the women’s at 2pm, followed by the B-grade men at 3.30pm and the A-graders at 5pm.
