Stanhope is the only side sitting at 3-0 heading into round four of the Campaspe Playing Area division one Weekend Pennant after defeating Moama on Saturday.

Moama hosted Stanhope at Moama Bowling Club, with the host going down in a 12-65 to 4-60 thriller.

Moama’s skips Robert Young and Michael Linehan both secured tight wins in their rinks 22-18 and 20-19, respectively.
But, it was Stanhope’s Justin Spedding who got the overall victory for his club, taking down Moama’s Geoffrey Beattie in rink three, 28-18.

A travelling Rich River put Mathoura to bed 14-56 to 2-43 to retain third position on the ladder.
Mathoura’s Ricky Ireland was the only host skip to get a win in his rink, taking down Rich River’s Tim Noar 17-15.

Meanwhile, Rich River’s Keith Hewitt and Gary Radford made light work of Michael Humphreys and Peter Holzer, 18-11 and 23-15, respectively.
Tongala ventured to Deniliquin Bowling Club and defeated the host soundly 14-61 to 2-50.

Deniliquin’s Jamie Shields managed to get a win over Tongala’s Bradley Tinning in rink two 21-16, while Matthew Liverton and Stephen Hammond bounced back to deliver Tonny the victory.
Rochester was beaten at home by a spirited Kyabram outfit 4-50 to 12-59, with both sides still knocking on the door of the top four.

While both Richard Feuk and Tim Quinlan got wins for Rochester over Robert George and Paul McInnes, it was Kyabram’s Greg Shilling that lifted his side to victory, putting Leslie Walles to the sword 26-10.
Lower grades
In division two, Stanhope travelled to Deniliquin and emerged victorious 12-58 to 4-53, while Echuca scored a win over Rich River 14-66 to 2-42 and Moama dominated Tongala 16-72 to 0-38.

Division three saw a full slate of action across the region, headlined by Deni’s 16-99 to 0-49 thrashing of Tongala.
Echuca also scored a big win over Lockington 14-70 to 2-61, and Moama pulled one over Stanhope’s eyes 14-73 to 2-52.

Rich River added another win to the tally against Elmore 14-62 to 2-45, while Kyabram beat Rochester at home 16-62 to 0-44.
There was plenty of action in division four as Echuca decimated Lockington 16-77 to 0-49 and Moama topped Denilquin RSL 14-64 to 2-59.

Elsewhere, Tongala got it done over Kyvalley View 14-64 to 2-50, while it was a much closer affair between Mathoura and Rich River 14-63 to 2-58 and Kyabram and Rochester 14-62 to 2-59.
Lastly, in division five in a derby at Echuca Bowls Club, Echuca Blue got the best of Echuca White 12-42 to 2-41 while Moama defeated Stanhope 14-44 to 0-27.

Meanwhile, both Deniliquin sides bested their counterparts, with Deni White taking down Lockington 13-43 to 1-41 while Deni Blue beat Rich River 12-45 to 2-37.
Rochester managed to defend home turf, beating a travelling Kyabram contingent 12-49 to 2-29.
