Goulburn Murray Cricket trio Rhys Drennan, Archie Teasdale and Liam Edge are the latest cricketers from the region to represent Northern Rivers in the Victorian Youth Premier League.
Moama talents Drennan and Teasdale, alongside Edge from Nondies-Cohuna, are into the fourth round of the under-16 representative tournament in Hamilton, playing key roles in Northern Rivers’ only win for the tournament to date.
After a barnstorming start in the McMahon Shield, Drennan showcased his skills with the ball against Mallee-Murray Suns in a one-wicket victory, claiming 2-19 off seven overs.

Edge posted a miserly 0-20 off his seven overs, and a cameo of 14 runs from Drennan in the run chase helped Rivers snatch a thrilling win.
Drennan was again in the wickets against the Highlanders with an equal game-high three, this time joined by Teasdale, who snared two of his own to open his YPL account.
Teasdale added 14 runs opening the batting to a productive match, but despite a spirited knock of 25 not out from Edge at the end of the innings, Rivers fell by 34 runs.
Edge claimed 2-22 against the Spirit in round three, with Teasdale posting 14 runs in a 71-run defeat.
