Moama and Tongala picked up senior footballing wins, while Tonny and Echuca United scored victory in A-grade netball.
Although they haven’t always been in sparkling form this year, Tongala’s seniors wiped strugglers Barooga off the park in the biggest result of the round, 23.20 (158) to 1.4 (10).
Meanwhile, Moama stormed back to pip Rumbalara by two goals and change, 11.11 (77) to 9.10 (64).
In the Heathcote District League, both Leitchville-Gunbower and Lockington-Bamawm United were within a couple of goals of securing senior football wins, but neither could get over the line.
In the netball, the Bombers were convincingly downed by the league leader, Colbinabbin, while LBU managed its first win of the season over lower table brethren, Heathcote.
The Picola and District League held a general bye this week, while the second half of the Goulburn Valley League’s split round saw Echuca also take the week off.
