In an excellent week of semi-finals for local sides, one of Tongala or Moama has booked an early ticket in every Murray Netball League lower grade grand final.

Moama is the defending champion in all three junior grades, while Tongala holds the honour in B, C and C-reserve, and each of those sides will have the opportunity to defend their title after winning their way into the decider on Saturday.
All qualifying second semi-finals were held at Echuca South Recreation Reserve.
In B-grade, Tongala overcame Echuca United despite the home ground advantage for the Eagles, 44-33.
United will now have to get past rival Moama, after the Magpies downed Mulwala in the first semi-final – to get a second shot at the Blues’ title.
Tonny was dominant in C-grade, having no issue advancing past Congupna, 64-34.
In the other semi, a surging Echuca United overcame Mulwala 35-24, making its way into the preliminary final against The Road.
C-reserve was another comfortable win for Tongala, as the Blues cantered past Rumbalara 63-40.
The side now awaits the winner of the preliminary final contest between Rumba and Nathalia, as the Purples eliminated Cobram in the first semi-final.
In a tight 17-and-under battle, minor premier Echuca United was upset by titleholder Moama, the Magpies earning the right to defend their crown 47-41.
Next up for the Eagles will be Tongala, which has made a strong run from fifth.
The Blues eliminated Deniliquin 49-47 to stay alive.
The 15-and-under contest was another Moama success story, as the ladder leader dealt with Cobram 37-24.
The Magpies now await the winner between the Tigers and Rumbalara, which ended Tongala’s season on its way into the prelim.
The Blues had more elimination semi-final success in 13-and-under, narrowly fighting past Echuca United 23-22 to advance.
Tonny meets Mulwala in the preliminary final, after the Lions fell victim to minor premier Moama, 33-29, in the qualifying semi.
All preliminary finals will be held at Nathalia Recreation Reserve on Saturday.
