The Morley Auto Group Echuca Triathlon was run and won on a picturesque Saturday night in Echuca, with Georg Fellner and Regan Hollioake etching their names on to the PS Success perpetual trophy.

More than 140 athletes splashed and dashed their way through Echuca for the Multisport weekend’s marquee event, and it was Fellner who crossed the finish line first in the 23rd iteration of the triathlon in a time of 58:03.

Hollioake was the first female athlete to cross the line, and rounded out her triathlon run in a time of 1:04:13.

Team Bruburger was first across the line in the team stakes in a time of 56:08.

Competitors got their race under way with a 700-metre swim down the Murray River before hopping on the bikes for a 20km ride through Echuca.

The event culminated in a 5km run along the banks of the Murray.

One of the premier sporting events on the Echuca-Moama sporting calendar, the Multisport weekend saw more than 300 triathletes — junior and senior — compete over the weekend.
