Echuca Moama has executed a round rarely seen at any level, shutting out the opposition in all three Goulburn Murray Women’s and Girls League games they played at the weekend.

Echuca in the women’s league and Moama and Echuca United in the girls’ league each held their opposition to no score in yet another example of the twin towns’ dominance in female footy.

The women’s side racked up the biggest score of the round, posting 18.10 (118) to 0 at Victoria Park against Barooga.
Barooga made the occasional raid into Murray Bombers territory, but the vast majority of the game was played in Echuca’s forward 50.

A host of players cashed in on the strong performance, led by captain Teah Bell with five goals.
Olivia Dewar added four, while Sienna Lee and Gemma Morrison kicked three each.
The scoring was rounded out by Lily Hillman (2) and coach Kate Dixon (1).

The women’s side is in for a blockbuster encounter in the final regular season round this weekend.
Not only will the team follow the senior men’s game at Victoria Park at 4.30pm on Saturday, but the Murray Bombers will take on their title rival and the only side to defeat them this campaign, Shepparton United.

In the girls, Moama matched up with Barooga and the Mowers put in a similarly comprehensive performance at Moama Recreation Reserve.
Ruby McLeod slotted six, while Shaleah Cooper, Zoe McCallum and Chelsea-Jade McLeod each added two in the 14.15 (99) to 0 performance.

Stella Fraser and Zahra Kelly rounded out Moama’s goal-kickers.
On the road, Echuca United put Nathalia to the sword, 6.12 (48) to 0.
The Eagles struggled for accuracy, but had more than enough offensive pressure to overwhelm the Purples.

Jada Dennis kicked two goals, while Harper Delamare, Hannah Gibbs, Jemma Lewis and Julia Taranto each added one.
On Sunday, Moama conclude the regular season hosting Shepparton United, while Echuca United will travel to Barooga.
Moama will finish the season on top of the ladder, while United has locked in second.
