Cody Walker, son of Carlton alumni Andrew Walker, took out the honour for a stellar 2025 campaign that included national championships selection and a futures game medal.
On AFL Grand Final Day, Walker suited up with the best of his class in the annual futures fixture, held at the MCG ahead of the AFL’s final showdown.
Although his side would go on to lose the contest, Walker’s 25 disposals, seven clearances and six inside 50s earned him the best-on-ground medal for his team.
Earlier in the year, the Echuca product was one of only three bottom-age prospects to feature in the Victoria Country squad for the under-18 national championships where he put up 28 disposals per contest.
Walker also averaged more than 25 disposals in 13 games for the Bendigo Pioneers in the Coates Talent League.
Now committed to Carlton through the father-son rule, Walker is one of the top prospects in his class, the Blues set to match any bid for him come November.
