In the women’s, Echuca picked up its sixth win of the season, defeating Rumbalara 6.5 (41) to 0.0 (0) at Rumbalara Recreation Reserve.
Conditions made it difficult for Rumba to progress the ball downfield when it grabbed possession, with Echuca’s quality allowing it to keep the action contained to its offensive end for most of the game.

Lily Hillman and Louise Walker kicked two goals each for the Murray Bombers, while Kate Dixon and Sienna Lee were the other scorers.
With the regular season past the halfway point, the title fight looks to be between Echuca and Shepparton United.
Neither side has tasted defeat against the other five, while the Demons took the only meeting so far between the two teams.
In the other women’s game this week, United swept through Tatura 5.9 (39) to 0.0 (0).
Echuca is back in action on Sunday at Victoria Park, taking on Mansfield.

Echuca United also prevented the opposition from scoring, racking up a 12.11 (83) to 0.0 (0) scoreline on Friday night.
Echuca South Recreation Reserve saw the home side dominate proceedings from start to finish.
Ava Plattfuss was the scoring leader for the Eagles, kicking four majors, while Harper Delamare (3) and Matilda Fowler (2) also kicked multiple goals.
It was a huge turnaround in fortunes for the two sides after the Swans handed the Eagles their most recent defeat in May.

Across the river, Moama also put in a dominant performance at home.
Opponent Barooga did manage to sneak through a major in the last quarter to break the trend for the round, but the Mowers finished well on top, 8.11 (59) to 1.0 (6).
Shaleah Cooper and Ruby McLeod both kicked two goals to lead Moama.
Moama looks hard to stop, an undefeated 8-0 at the top of the ladder, while a derby title showdown seems the most likely outcome come August, with United (5-2) the Magpies’ nearest rival.
