Williams will join 106 of Australia’s brightest up-and-coming talents for the combine, which was announced on Friday.
The event gives players a chance to showcase their athletic qualities to AFLW club recruiters, and invitees will participate in a 2km time trial at various state-based centres.
Williams is one of 57 Victorians tapped on the shoulder for the combine, and one of 78 players draft eligible for the first time.
“We are very excited about the high level of talent within this group of future stars of the AFLW,” AFL talent ambassador Kevin Sheehan said.
“The 2022 version of the NAB AFLW Draft Combine will be shorter than those held in previous years; however, the on-field performance of this group of players over the past season has provided a great indication that they will have a huge impact on the NAB AFLW competition.”
Williams, 18, earned an invite for the combine after her selection for Victoria Country in the recent AFLW Under-18 Championship.
Playing in all three games for Victoria Country in the national championship, Williams was named in the side’s best players twice, against Vic Metro and South Australia.
In the NAB League Williams represents the Bendigo Pioneers, where she has impressed as a key position utility during season 2022.
Williams has been swung forward this season after previously plying her trade as a key defender, and speaking after an early-season Pioneers match coach Danny O’Bree said Williams had been working hard at her craft.
“With her skill set, she’s been working pretty hard to not only learn the position but also to showcase her strengths,” O’Bree said.
The Williams name continues to entrench itself as one of a fine footballing pedigree, with Tegan’s father, David, a premiership-winning coach at Rochester and Kyabram, and a former Melbourne Football Club player.
Dates and venues for the combine are yet to be announced.
