Monday’s barefoot bowls charity day funds went to Mathoura Primary School.

There were 12 teams of four taking part on the day. Much laughter and good bowls ensured all had an enjoyable day.

Thank you to the sponsors of the day, your support ensured the school received maximum funds on the day, see you there next year.

In the club championships 21-Up Handicap, P. Clear defeated I. Hunter.

In the 100-Up Handicap, S. Limbrick defeated C. Roberts, and P. Clear defeated A. Hulm.

The Ian Clark Memorial Two Bowl Triples will be played on Saturday, with a 10am start. Three games of 16 ends, the cost is $60 per team. Players to purchase own lunch from bowlers menu.

Rich River

Mixed indoor bowls results this week saw Hazel O’Dwyer’s team, including Miriam Pascoe and Eddy Williamson take out top honours.

Runners-up on the day were led by Win Kneebone, alongside Joan Parker and Shirley Davis.

BowlsVic Men’s titles

The Bendigo-Campaspe Regional Men’s Division will represent the region at the BowlsVic Mens Regional Sides Championships in Traralgon, next weekend.

The tournament is an annual event where 12 players representing the Bendigo-Campaspe region along with 15 other Victorian regions play to be crowned as the Victorian champions.

The Campaspe region has had five players selected to play next weekend. Matthew Liverton, of Moama Bowling Club, Troy Mansbridge, of Mathoura, David Keenan, of Rochester, Philip Thorn and Stephen Cunnington, of City of Echuca Bowls Club were all selected.

Good luck to the women’s side who begin their tournament today and finish on Sunday.
