A MAN who ram-raided Echuca’s Intersport Bennett's last year has been jailed for 12 months.

Todd Van Roy, 29, pleaded guilty in Swan Hill Magistrates Court recently to theft of a motor vehicle, burglary, theft, criminal damage, arson of a motor vehicle, possessing methamphetamine, dangerous driving and evading police.
Van Roy was sentenced to the term, his 204 days in custody reckoned, with a non-parole period of eight months.
Detectives arrested Van Roy at the Back 9 Golf Course in Echuca on June 27 after he stole a Holden Rodeo ute from the shire office at Tongala on June 19 before backing it through Bennett's Hare St shopfront about 4am on June 21.
He stole $5000 worth of sports clothing before fleeing — leaving Bennett's with a $20,000 damage bill.
He then set the ute on fire at Stewart’s Bridge Rd on June 23.
