The boys' dad Anthony Field had parked his ute with a trailer holding the three KTM bikes, including his own, out the front of his workplace at Simplot on Denmark Rd, Echuca.
But at 1.16pm, brazen bandits driving a silver XLT Ranger unhooked the trailer, attached it to their ute and drove off.
While police say the value of the items stolen totalled $13,000, mum Tania Field said the bikes were priceless to her sons Lochy, 7, and Jye, 10.
"The boys are absolutely devastated. The looks on their faces when we told them were just heartbreaking. Lochy was only given his bike two weeks ago for his seventh birthday," she said.
"They woke up at 6am today because they heard a sound and thought the thieves had come to the house.
"We've lost so much more than just the bikes, we've lost the kids' sense of safety as well."
Police said they had retrieved footage of the theft from the Heinz factory next door.
"We have no further information on the registration of the silver ranger the thieves used to steal the trailer," Senior Constable Michelle Neil said.
"We're trying to get more footage and are doing a call-out for anyone with information or dashcam footage to come forward.
"It's a brazen theft - The kids were just going to have a fun day out on the bikes with their dad and then this happened."
Tania posted about the theft on Facebook and received overwhelming support, with more than 1900 shares and information and footage flooding in.
"I am absolutely blown away ... I would like to thank each and every one of you. Fingers crossed someone out there sees something and my boys get their beloved bikes back," she said.
The stolen trailer's registration is U71 028.
The bikes were a KTM 300 2011 (rego 8427E5), a KTM 85 2013 and a KTM 50 2017.
