Moama Fire Rescue 379 and Moama RFS were called to Old Deni Rd on Sunday morning after a deliberately lit bushfire had set a huge gum tree alight.
"The fire was from the base of the tree to the top and the tree was six foot wide and at least three stories high so we couldn't get water up that high," Fire and Rescue's Phil Masters said.
"We had to get an excavator in to push the tree over so firefighters could extinguish it.
"We were there from about 8am to midday."
Then, about 11pm on Tuesday, firefighters were called to another suspicious blaze behind Moama Skate Park.
"There was a lot of leaf litter on the ground consistent with how it had been maintained," Mr Masters said.
"About quarter of an acre was destroyed."
Seven firefighters from Moama Fire and Rescue 379 and four trucks from Moama RFS worked for about an hour containing and extinguishing the fire to stop it spreading to neighbouring properties.
"There was no risk to buildings once we got there but if it was a windy night, it certainly could have gone into bushland near the river.
"The fire was pretty easy to control and was quickly blacked out."
With this year's fire season looking to be worse than ever, Mr Masters urged people to be vigilant.
"We're coming into summer and there is no rain in sight, so we just want people to be cautious," he said.
"We're concerned we're going to have a dangerous fire season and we need to do everything possible to eliminate the risk of something happening.
"We've had a house fire and two bushfires in two days so we want people to be careful."
