There are just a few gentlemen who reach the age of 90 and keep active doing what they love: croquet.
John Tarrant joined Echuca Moama Croquet Club five years ago and plays on Mondays and Fridays at Victoria Park on the tennis courts.
John Tarrant remains a wily competitor on the croquet court.

Yes, he uses a walker on the courts, but don’t underestimate his ability.
Members know not to allow him near the hoops; it doesn’t matter if your ball is closer, he will execute a perfected jump shot.
Tarrant is known as ‘Jumping’ Johnny, a reputation well-earned.
Greg Brierley took part in the brithday bash games.

He is a well-liked member of our club and likes a joke or two, especially if it involves a dress up and the laugh is on him.
We have been entertained many times by his stories of past events and life experiences.
Carry on and play croquet.
Happy 90th birthday, Johnny.
‘Jumping’ Johnny Tarrant is still going strong on the croquet court at 90.
