A driver was trapped after his vehicle hit a tree on ‘the back road’ between Shepparton and Mooroopna.

Emergency services were called to the single vehicle accident on Watt Rd, Mooroopna, at about 1.45am on Sunday, March 22.
Shepparton police said the 24-year-old male driver, from Numurkah, required extraction from the maroon Ford Falcon.
He sustained serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, while his 20-year-old male passenger, from Shepparton, received minor injuries, according to police.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesperson said both occupants were treated by Advance Life Support paramedic crews before being transported in stable conditions to Goulburn Valley Health by ambulance.
A spokesperson for Shepparton Search and Rescue said the driver had been extracted from the vehicle before its crew arrived on scene to provide lighting.
The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
