Repeat trespassers arrested

Detective Chief Inspector Jy Brown also revealed the same two people were given a trespassing warning last year.

“In July last year, police issue two people with notices for trespassing, preventing them from entering buildings at Memorial Park.

“Officers were called to the grounds at 9am on Good Friday, April 3 after reports of trespassers.

“A 52 year-old man and a 56 year-old female were spoken to, reminded of last year’s notice and asked to leave.

“Police were called back about 1.30pm on Good Friday, and found the pair inside one of the building with their belongings.

“This time they were arrested and charged with trespassing.”
