The Pitt actor was honoured for his contribution to the entertainment industry with a plaque on the iconic footpath in Los Angeles.
Wyle, 54, used the ceremony on Thursday to pay tribute to his wife, Sara Wells and their daughter Frances, 10, as well as his son Owen, 23, and daughter Auden, 20, from his previous marriage to Tracy Warbin.
"Becoming part of that history is a true childhood dream come true ... I love it more than I can say. It was all I've ever wanted to do," the former ER star said.
"To my wife, Sara, and my three amazing children, Owen, Auden and Frances, you are my north, south, east, west.
"You are the reason I get up. You're my motivation to try harder. You're the source of my creativity. I thank you for your inspiration and for giving my life meaning and definition."
Before the ceremony, Wyle - who grew up in Los Angeles - spoke about spending time pacing up and down the Hollywood Walk of Fame as a youngster revealing he memorised the names of many of the famous folk immortalised on the street.
"There was a point in time where I had blocks and blocks of those names memorised, and I could do them with my eyes closed," he told Variety.
"I'd look at those names and want to know more about them. I'd read their biographies. I'm a product of this town.
"I'm a product of this industry, and even though it's sort of an antiquated pageantry, I've always wanted to be part of it."
