Because the Moama exercise specialist is usually wearing fluoro of some description.
But the 49-year-old is having to tone himself down when he prepares to play Mal Beneike in Echuca-Moama Theatre Company’s production of The Addams Family.
‘‘I think the only thing Mal and I share is the same glasses. Beige is so not my colour,’’ he laughed.
So who is Mal Beneike?
Well, he is the straight-arrow stuffy father of Lucas — Wednesday’s boyfriend.
A former fan of The Grateful Dead, Mal has lost that youthful, fun loving side of himself over the years and has become exasperated with his wife Alice, who speaks in rhymes.
But, after a crazy night at the Addams’ house, he is forced to look deep within himself.
‘‘I like what Mal is able to become and how he grows through the show,’’ Glen said.
‘‘I hope I can also bring a sense of normality to the craziness.’’
Addams is Glen’s third show with EMTC, first playing Sir Lancelot in Spamalot in 2017 and then starring in last year’s production of The Phantom of the Opera.
He also co-directed Elf The Musical Jnr with wife Kim in 2017.
Glen knew immediately he wanted to be involved in this year’s show.
‘‘I loved the TV show as a kid and love to see comedy in any situation, especially musical comedy,’’ he said.
‘‘It’s amazing to see the cast bringing their characters life and it seems every rehearsal I am laughing to myself.
‘‘We are having so much fun putting this show together.’’
Glen encouraged locals to come along and support the show, which promised to be hugely entertaining.
‘‘I’d love for the audience to laugh, cry, sing along, maybe click their fingers together and laugh some more with us,’’ he said.
‘‘I definitely believe in the idea that we are all a little Addams.’’
The Addams Family will be held at the Paramount from May 24 to June 1.
