Soccer season hits Finley

Finley has 67 players from the local area registered in the Cobram Junior Soccer Association Competition.

There are seven Finley teams and games are played Saturday mornings in Finley, Cobram and Yarrawonga. The Cobram Junior Soccer Association has over 300 registered players both boys and girls with ages from 4 to 13.

Saturday, June 15 games were played in Cobram and the results were as follows:

U7 Mixed: AC Milan def. Man City 6-2, award to Hudson Daniel; CJSA def. Juventus, 13-0, award to Toby Loughridge; Barcelona def. by Inter Milan 5-2, award to Samuel Hay.

U9 Mixed: Barcelona def. Chelsea 5-3.

U11 Mixed: Barcelona def. by Celtic 3-1, award to Tim Mills.

U11 Girls: Barcelona def. by Man Utd 4-0, award to Sophie Urquhart.

U13 Mixed: Chelsea def. by Ath Madrid 3-2, award to Archie Evans.

The next games will be played at the Finley Showgrounds and Sporting Complex starting at 9.30am this Saturday.

Everyone is welcome to come and watch.

There will be a cake stall, barbecue and coffee van available.
