Mainly music is coming to town.
New Life Baptist Church will bring the popular program to Campaspe library on Saturday, April 27 with a mainly music carnival.
The fun-filled morning is a perfect opportunity to build your child’s interest in music while also connecting with other families in the area.
In addition to plenty of singing and dancing throughout the day, there will be a jumping castle and a variety of play activities on offer.
Organiser Donovan Jasper, a new full-time minister at New Life, said the idea came after discovering Campaspe Shire Council was offering grants to see more activities brought to the port precinct.
‘‘We thought why not hold an event for mainly music,’’ he said.
Throughout mainly music sessions, children develop gross and fine motor skills, language, imagination, mathematical and pre-reading skills, as well as learning to socialise with each other.
‘‘It’s also an amazing place where parents or primary caregivers of young children can connect. It’s essentially a playgroup based around music,’’ Donovan said.
The carnival will be on from 10am to 12.30pm at Campaspe Library.
