Tough day for juniors

U11 — Moama 14 drew United 14

What a game of netball.

The Moama girls had a bit of a slow start, but warmed up by the second quarter.

Moama used the space and with some straight shooting took the lead.

Echuca United didn’t stop fighting and pulled back towards the end.

The Magpies kept fighting and never gave up, coming away with a draw.

Well done girls, keep up the good work.

U15s — Moama 33 lt. United 35

The 15s had a cracker of a game against United, with only a few goals between them all game.

The girls played with aggression and determination.

Going down in the end, the side look forward to facing them again next time and turning the tables.

U17s — Moama 16 lt. United 47

The 17s faced a strong United team but applied awesome defensive pressure, gaining many intercepts and held balls.

United took home the win but the girls did Moama proud.

C Reserves — Moama 27 lt. United 36

After a rushed start, Moama settled into the second quarter to be more competitive.

Great work by under 17 players Georgia and Lilliana.

Moama came close but let United pull away for the win.

C Grade — Moama 31 lt. United 60

A tough game against United, but the girls continued to hold their heads up.

Plenty of options down the court from Nicole Anderson and Sarah Ryan, which earned them best on and coaches award respectively.

Unfortunately, Moama went down 31 to 60.
