MFL, HDFL set for a showdown

AFL Victoria released their official 2020 community championship rankings earlier this week, following the interleague match-ups played out on Saturday.

Despite falling to the Wimmera FL by 45 points, the Murray League maintained their spot at 15th in the rankings.

The Heathcote District League, who broke a three-year losing streak with the victory against Sunraysia FL in Mildura, were rewarded by jumping to 16th spot, setting up a clash between two of our local leagues.

The GV, who comfortably defeated the Western Region FL by 41 points, have been promoted to fourth spot in the state, setting up a clash with Victorian powerhouse Geelong FNL.

Final entries and match-ups will not be confirmed until later in the season, but on current rankings, our local competitions are headed for two big matches.
