With good play in the middle and brilliant drive from the backline, the forwards were able to prosper and convert multiple opportunities to lead 3-1 at half-time.
After half-time the game was a real arm wrestle with Strikers getting the first goal of the half and providing plenty of pressure around the ball causing turnovers in dangerous spots, however Echuca steadied late and converted another opportunity to run away with a 4-2 win.

With a full team back on the field, the Rats were under way quickly in their match with SYC.
It wasn’t long into the match when Courtney Thompson broke through to open the scoring for the day.
The entire side dominated throughout the match, with the team adding a further three goals as the match went on, with EM grabbing a strong victory.

U14 – Echuca Moama 1 lt. Strikers 2
The under 14 Rats took on the top side in the competition, producing an even first half where neither side was able to score.
The pattern of quick ball movement and brilliant goal keeping was broken early in the second half, as the Strikers got on the board twice in the early stages.
The Rats would do their utmost to get the game back on even terms, with Ethan breaking through to get the score to 1-2 in the Strikers favour.
The Rats would fight hard to the end of the match, but were unable to get on the board, losing by a single goal.
