On Wednesday morning, residents along Stratton Rd in Echuca West woke to find a mattress and some metal doors strewn along the side of the road.
One resident was concerned as this was not the first time a larger load of waste had been found along their road, with a pile of dirt off to the side of the road not far away.
“They just don't want to pay the tip fees, so they dump it out here,” the resident said.
“There's just no need for it.”
The resident was concerned that when people were driving in the dark, the piles could become dangerous if drivers needed to go off to the side to pass each other.
“Unless you know they're there, it's a safety concern,” the resident said.
