The lamps are glowing at St Joseph’s College, and this August they’ll shine even brighter as students bring Disney’s Aladdin Junior to life on stage.

On August 21 and 22, the College will present its first major production since pre-COVID—a colourful, musical celebration featuring a dedicated cast from both campuses. After months of rehearsals, costume fittings, and creative set building, the show is almost ready to dazzle audiences.

The story of Aladdin is one of courage, friendship, and dreams—and students have embraced the magic with energy and pride. From lunchtime dance rehearsals to dramatic run-throughs and musical prep, the entire school community has come together to make this performance unforgettable.

This production is a reflection of the College’s commitment to student growth through arts and co-curricular opportunities. It also nods to the symbolic St Brigid’s lamp of learning—a meaningful part of the school’s identity, now joined on stage by a rather mischievous magic lamp of its own.
