THE MOAMA RSL IS GEARING UP FOR AN EXCITING WINTER SEASON WITH NEW MENU OFFERINGS AND SPECIAL EVENTS PLANNED FOR THE COMING MONTHS.

Moama RSL functions coordinator Nicole Anderson announced the club will launch its winter menu in June.
“Our new winter menu will be released at the start of June, and it will continue to have the all-time favourites,” she said.
“There will be some winter warmers in there, including seasonal products, inclusive of some curries and pasta dishes, which leads into our special curry night.
“We will be running a curry night weekly for July and there will be various curries available each week in the bistro.”
The club has entered the Perfect Plate competition, which launched May 3 and runs until mid-June with a dish of gnocchi with prawns, tomato, zucchini, lemon and capers on a bed of Jerusalem artichoke topped with parsnip crisps and fresh dill.
The competition, fronted by celebrity chef Matt Moran, allows diners to vote using QR codes available on their tables.
“We had Matt come in last year and try last year’s dish, and we received some great feedback from that,” Nicole said.
July will feature weekly curry nights in the bistro, while August will introduce weekday gnocchi specials with rotating flavours.
A Christmas in July dinner and trivia evening is scheduled for July 25.
The club continues to welcome community groups, including a walking group that meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays for morning tea, and a mothers’ group on Tuesdays.

For families, Little Diggers will host school holiday activities in July, coinciding with a LEGO raffle worth $2500 to be drawn on Sunday, July 13.
School holiday activities will include LEGO building days.

The club has also launched a members’ promotion featuring a Kia Seltos valued at over $36,000, plus cash prizes totalling $10,000. The major draw is scheduled for Friday, August 29.
