They played a 20/20 match and with Finley winning the toss, captain Alex A’Vard sent Nathalia in to bat.
At the end of their innings Nathalia were 6/79, with Zander Nash taking two wickets and Archie Mason, Niamh Mason and Matthew Whelan taking one each.
Finley went in to bat and were 3/25 after eight overs when Matthew Whelan and Zander Nash put on a 48 run partnership before Nash was bowled out for 34 with two overs remaining.
Finely were 4/72 before Whelan was stumped at 5/77.
Oliver Knight came in to join Harrison King for the final over.
The game came down the final ball where Knight hit the ball and made two runs giving the Cats the win with the final score of 5/80.
Finley will look to make it two from two when they host Cobram on Friday night.
In a home game Finley’s Under 14s played Katunga.
Katunga won the toss and sent the Cats in to bat.
Kohan Joseph (20) and Jordan Sykes (22) got Finley off to a good start both retiring not out to finish 4/63.
In Katunga’s innings Finley played well in the field.
Joseph took two wickets, while Sykes and Jacob Armer both took one with a close game.
Unfortunately it wasn’t to be for the Cats, with the Swans successfully chasing down the target with two balls to spare, finishing 4/65.
