Gowrie St Primary School was alive with colour, imagination and creativity on Friday, August 22, as students paraded through the school grounds to celebrate Book Week.

From the wizarding world of Harry Potter to the rootin’-tootin’ wild west of Toy Story, the playground was a vibrant storybook come to life.

Students embraced the magic of the day, stepping into the shoes of their favourite characters — cowboys, princesses, pirates and even a few Minecraft heroes.

Teachers and parents cheered on from the sidelines as the parade made its way across the school courtyard, showcasing weeks of excitement and preparation for the annual event.

The parade was more than just costumes; it was a celebration of reading, imagination and the joy of storytelling.
