As if the celebration of the hall's centenary wasn't enough, the group has received a $1500 donation from the organisation.
“We couldn't be happier,” hall committee president Jim Hodgson said.
“We're wanting to continue making improvements to our hall and we can do so thanks to organisations like the Bendigo Bank.”
Tongala and District Community Bank director and treasurer Greg Rossborough said donating the cheque was a no-brainer.
“When the hall applied for the sponsorship, we didn't hesitate in helping out with their centenary event,” he said.
“Donating money to events and groups like this is part of our commitment to support locals.”
The committee will be able to purchase new carpet, tables and chairs and make general renovations to the building.
The community will be able to celebrate 100 years of its great hall thanks to the centenary event on March 28.
There will be something there for everyone, including afternoon tea, a barbecue, free games for kids and more.
There will also be a chance for anyone to enter their homemade creations at the Koyuga Sauce competition.
Judging will be completed on the Sunday with the winner having their face printed on bottles of their sauce and made available around the area.
There will also be live music, provided by Melissa Murley, on the Saturday night.
This event will include a hungi/camp oven meal.
An egg and bacon breakfast barbecue will be available on Sunday morning.
Tickets will be available from $15 for adults and $35 for a family.
Overnight camping is also available for $10 per site.
Tickets can be purchased online at trybooking.com.au (by searching for Koyuga), in person at GTS Tongala and Tongala Post Office.
You can also purchase tickets at the sauce stall during the Saturday.
