ERH requests no more flowers or gifts

“To ensure we continue to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, from today, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to restrict flower and/or gift deliveries to patients,” the post said.

“This will help us to reduce the number of unnecessary visits to the hospital. We suggest family and friends wait until their friend or loved one returns home to have flowers or a gift delivered to their doorstep, and whilst they are in hospital, look to technology such as FaceTime and phone calls to check in and see how they are going.

“We really appreciate our community support during this uncertain time.

“Thank you for continuing to ensure we can provide a safe place for our patients and workforce.”
